Things are starting to heat up for Revival: The Sam Bush Story as we get deeper into summer. If you’re in the San Juan Mountains next week, you can check out special screenings of Revival at the Nugget Theater in conjunction with the 42nd annual Telluride Bluegrass Festival. Of course, you’ll need to be a Telluride resident or a pass holder for the festival to even get into town, but I suppose you could park in Mountain Village and ride the gondola over. (Don’t hold me to that, though.) The film will screen Wednesday and Friday. For more info on the screenings, check out this article at 5280, The Denver Magazine.
We also learned this week that the film will screen in the Pacific Northwest this fall at the Port Townsend Film Festival. The festival runs from September 25-27 in the picturesque setting of Port Townsend, Washington’s walkable National Historic District. The programming team had this to say about Revival:
This is so much more than a “music doc” and I know our audience will appreciate it as much as our programming team. We are proud to include this important history of Sam Bush and his influence in the music world. Such a good find from the Nashville Film Festival!
To use a somewhat anachronistic broadcasting idiom, stay tuned as we hope to announce more screenings in the coming weeks!
